Ava was recently diagnosed with SMA, Type II - Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Very sad news for our family and news that will probably mean our updates to this site will be infrequent at best.
However, we will keep news posted on Ava’s condition and progress at FriendOfAva.com. Thanks to all for their thoughts and prayers so far.

We were amazed last weekend when little Ava waved back at Mommy. Then a few days later, Mommy clapped, and so did Ava!

We were playing with our new video capture software (real cool stuff) and came up with these clips of Ava — Baby Ava and Mr. Lion and Baby Ava’s first laugh. Enjoy!

We’ve finally got the site really working, and are changing the stylesheets a bit to our tastes. Whew! It’s going to be easier to edit and use later on, but the setup is quite a pain! But it’s worth it.

Welcome to the newly redesigned McLin.Org! The new site is produced using two excellent Open Source software tools, WordPress and Coppermine, which allow us to edit the site without using programs such as Microsoft FrontPage or Macromedia Dreamweaver. We moved to the new platform for several reasons: cost, ease of use, and to upgrade to more modern tools. Hopefully, you’ll see more graphics integrated into our posts, such as the beautiful ladies to the left!
